What AskVouch is

AskVouch has two parts. There is a public assistant on this website that gives general information about UK business finance — it is not financial advice, and we are not a credit broker. There is also a service for brokers and their clients that helps a broker gather and check the paperwork for a funding case. This notice covers both. What we do with your information depends on which one you use.

The public assistant (this website)

You do not sign in, and we do not ask you for your name, email or phone number. Your questions are sent to our AI provider so it can reply; we do not use your messages to train AI models, and the AI never makes a decision about you. We keep a record of these conversations to check quality and stay compliant, for up to 90 days. We use your IP address only to limit misuse; it is not linked to your identity. The eligibility check is a fixed, rules-based self-assessment against each lender’s published criteria — not a decision about you, and never a guarantee.

The broker and borrower service

When a broker uses AskVouch for a case, or you upload documents through a secure link, we process the information needed to package that case:

• Your name, email and company details.
• The documents you provide (such as bank statements, ID and proof of address).
• Your answers to the case questions and your declarations.

We use this only to help your broker prepare your funding case. Your documents are checked on our own systems — they are not sent to any outside AI service. We share this information only with your own broker. We never sell it. It is stored securely, and we keep it for as long as we need it to provide the service and to meet our legal and regulatory duties.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. To do any of these, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
